Samuel García, gobernador de Nuevo León, anuncio en una conferencia de prensa ‘Distrito Tigre’, complejo deportivo que incluiría la construcción de un nuevo estadio para el Club Tigres.
García dijo estar muy orgulloso de estar en la Universidad Autónoma de aquel estado donde comenzarán a partir de este día, la construcción del nuevo estadio y todo lo que implica tener un distrito deportivo de gran calidad, como lo calificó él mismo
Los símbolos que nos representan de trabajo, de esfuerzo y de empleo, es también motivo de meterle fuerte al deporte y por estamos prácticamente duplicando esfuerzos en un nuevo estadio que va a ser el más grande de América Latina”, aseveró el político.
“Nuestra afición está para algo más grandote” recalcó el García Sepúlveda mientras comentaba las conexiones estratégicas que tienen con Texas, su vecino norteamericano. “Las familias que tienen acceso económico van a Texas a disfrutar de partidos y conciertos (…) este estadio va a provocar algo recíproco”, aseguró.
“Van a llegar aquí los mejores eventos del mundo, juegos de NFL, un estadio con cancha retráctil (sic) para que ahora también los texanos vengan aquí a consumir”, mencionó el gobernador.
Cabe resaltar que la empresa especialista en construcción de recintos deportivos, Juego de Pelota México, recibirá 44 mil 904.81 metros cuadrados para trabajar el complejo deportivo que estará ubicado en Av. Alfonso Reyes, entre Fidel Velázquez y Servicio Postal
