Debido a que sus arrestos fueron considerados como «ilegales», cuatro de los 17 detenidos durante la detención de Obvio Guzmán fueron liberados.
Estos fueron compartidos durante la mañana de este lunes, cabe resaltar, que además de señalar que las detenciones fueron ilegales, no hubo detalles o argumentos para determinar la ilegalidad de los arrestos. Por su parte la Fiscalía General de la República dijo que las otras 13 personas si fueron vinculadas a proceso y se encuentran detenidos.
Cabe mencionar que las 17 personas fueron acusadas de violar la ley de armas de fuego.
Recordemos que durante el 5 de enero diversas autoridades de seguridad lanzaron un comunicado de prensa conjunto en el que la titular de la Secretaría de Seguridad y protección Ciudadana (SSPC) dijo a los ciudadanos de Sinaloa (lugar donde se realizó la captura de Ovidio) que las instituciones actúan de manera permanente en su favor, siempre con respeto irrestricto a los derechos humanos y respeto a la ley.
