El pleno del Congreso de la Ciudad de México aprobó el dictamen de reformas a la Ley de Educación capitalina, entre las que destaca la estrategia relacionada con el uniforme que utilizan los estudiantes para autorizar su ingreso a los planteles escolares.
De tal manera que los alumnos tendrán la libertad de seleccionar cómo vestirse, es decir, podrán elegir si quieren llevar pantalón o falda a las instalaciones de la escuela a la que pertenecen. Es parte de una propuesta que fue presentada por la Jefa de Gobierno de la CDMX, Claudia Sheinbaum, en 2019.
Como parte de las modificaciones aprobadas por los legisladores se establece que: “los menores y adolescentes tendrán derecho al libre desarrollo de su personalidad”.
De esa manera, los niños tendrán derecho a utilizar el uniforme neutro en todas las escuelas, tanto públicas como privadas de la CDMX. Ellos podrán seleccionar lo que portarán al asistir a clases.
De igual manera cabe mencionar que los planteles educativos deberán evitar sanciones o reglas que involucren restricciones a los derechos humanos de los menores, motivados por su apariencia física.
